A quick landscape before I head home.
Another macro photo I'm very pleased with! The fly seemed to be drying off its wings so was very still.
They started mating after this, and I'm not trying to do that kind of nature photography haha.
Yeah I've gotten a bit slow with uploading this holiday, but it's been very enjoyable so I think it's excusable. I'm really happy with this macro photo, I think it's very pretty..
We went for a walk in the forest today before it rained. I wanted to get to this part of the park specifically. It's very pretty.
We went for a long cycle and I was tired, so I didn't get to upload this yesterday. That's a very strange shutter speed in the EXIF data...
More good astro photography. Hopefully I can do more of it this week but the weather isn't looking good.
I'm away from home again, so updates may be put up late, but they weren't last time so maybe not. Anyway first time trying this as a telephoto lens with the adapter. I think it went well.
Another birthday today. I was going to take the camera out to our dinner tonight but I forgot.
I did some experimenting with shutter drag and my flash. The results aren't what I expected but they're still interesting. This is just me blindly trying things anyway, I'm sure with research it'd be doable.
I only just realized the ISO was 800, lowering it would've helped. Anyway, I thought this would've turned out better, but it was an interesting experiment regardless. I probably couldn've picked a better slide as well.
I haven't been doing well since Saturday for some reason. I've let myself slip bad into negativity, and have been feeling down both mentally and emotionally from it. Not sure what's caused it, but I hope I can at least push past it for now. These photos may be bad and uploaded late, but at least they're here.
I did take this on the 19th, but I'm uploading it late clearly. I'll explain in the 20th post.
Goose! I took another roll of trichromes today, this time with several precautions to improve them. I'll write about it when I get the scans back. I'm excited!
A bit more testing of the camera before I have to gift it to my sister.
Wanted to try some different macro photography. I want to try this again, maybe with more even lighting and straight down on the object.
I just noticed the EXIF data says ISO 80? That seems pretty low.
Another new lens... I don't buy them very often and won't be for a while. I wanted a macro lens that I could use for my Canon A-1 that's better. It also works on my Fuji clearly.
I noticed this is missing in September 2025. Funnily enough I've discovered there is actually a photo ready in the files, I just hadn't written an entry for whatever reason. If that wasn't the case I did find photos in a backup of my SD card, so I would've been fine anyway. I do remember this day, I was going to get my watch after it had been repaired I think. I discovered that I'd misread the card they gave me and it was the wrong day.
This lens isn't great for macro adapted huh, I still enjoy it though.
Saw a cat on the way home today.
Yeah I was tired yesterday, didn't upload this straight away.
Another birthday.
It's my birthday! This is a camera I'm borrowing to test. It does shoot raw but I couldn't be bothered.
Testing out a camera I got my sister for her birthday. I'll be trying it a lot over the coming weeks to make sure It's okay.
. It's an old Soviet M-42 lens adapted. It's known for swirly Bokeh, which you can see slightly. The crop sensor kind of hides it. It'd be more visible with a speedbooster of some kind.
I didn't feel great yesterday so didn't upload this. I'll still upload today as well later. I wanted to try some interesting framing but decided a minute before the train arrived lol. Could've been better. Used continuous shutter.
A squirrel ran across the fence. As you can see, I missed it.
I tried some street photography today (this isn't that), and I'm going to be honest, I hated it. It felt weird, scary, and I didn't like any of the results. Further from that, I don't even think the results would've been good if the photos had worked out. Anyway, a funny note is that the photos taken before and after this one document the passengers noticing me, laughing, making gestures, then hiding. I didn't notice it at the time lol.
This couldn've been better but I still like both it and the idea.
I wanted to try some stuff with this lens today while I was outside, but the camera battery ran out lol. So here's one of the photos I got just before.
